    The word tambayan means “a hangout” in Tagalog. To us, it’s the concept of connection. Anywhere folks gather to hang out, they gather to connect with one another. We are in the business of facilitating those connections, whether physical or digital.

  • About Katy

    Owner + Lead Connector

    Katy considers herself a “connection enthusiast.” For as long as she can remember, she has been a connector. Whether it was as a barista, providing the hot cup of coffee that two friends could sip on as they caught up over the weekend, or as a fitness instructor, facilitating a safe space in a packed workout studio, Katy has always been in the business of forming bonds.

    She took her passion for connection and made a career out of it in the Marketing world. Working for global corporations in the PR and Event industries for over 10 years, she then found her passion working with small businesses and startups. And, she loved it so much that she made a small business out of it. She is especially passionate about working with female-owned and BIPOC-owned companies.

    Katy’s PR efforts have resulted in media coverage at regional, trade and national publications including ABC, AP News, BuzzFeed, Curiocity, Delish, FastCompany, GQ, InStyle, Refinery29 and more. She has facilitated small VIP events for 10 people, as well as global conferences for over 1K attendees. Regardless of the size of the event, each experience is thoughtfully curated for each client.

    When she’s not creating connections for her clients, you can find Katy at the local farmers market with her husband and dog or curled up on the couch with her latest knitting project.
